Introduction [Biosketch]

  • Dr Shubham Senapati is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Management Studies at NIT Silchar (an Institute of National Importance under the Ministry of Education, Govt. of India). He holds a PhD in Marketing/Healthcare Management from the National Institute of Technology (NIT) Rourkela, where his doctoral research focused on nuanced aspects of service experience, value co-creation, and experience economy. He has completed post-graduation in MBA and a graduation degree in B.Tech. He has taught at reputed institutions, including NIT Rourkela and SRM University, and has handled courses at both the postgraduate and undergraduate levels. In his current role, he is acting as a faculty in-charge of the Management Society (Club), PhD admission, and Alumni connect.
  • Dr Senapati’s research interests lie primarily in Healthcare/Tourism/Services Marketing, Metaverse, AI/IoMT/XR, Experience/Service Quality, Value Formation, and Immersive Technologies. He feels confident in learning and applying advanced analytical techniques, including PLS-SEM, Fuzzy Logic, and Multi-criteria decision-making methods. He has published extensively in ABDC- and Scopus-indexed journals of International repute, e.g., the International Journal of Quality & Reliability Management, Services Marketing Quarterly, Journal of Enterprising Communities, among others. He has also contributed multiple book chapters on emerging themes such as Health 5.0 and Website Atmospherics.
  • Dr Senapati has worked as a field investigator on multiple research and impact assessment projects funded by prestigious organisations such as the Indian Council of Social Science Research (ICSSR) and the Steel Authority of India Limited (SAIL). He actively participated in data collection, baseline analysis, impact evaluation, and report preparation, particularly in CSR interventions, education, and community development. These projects were highly relevant in providing hands-on experience regarding real-world policy-making contexts.
