About the Department

Established in 2012, the Department of Management Studies (DoMS) at NIT Silchar has delivered transformative learning experiences for 14 years and established itself as a leader in management education and research. Operating from its own dedicated premises on a sprawling 700-acre campus, the department is equipped with state-of-the-art infrastructure, including digital classrooms, a Data Analytics Lab, a Research Scholar lab, and a departmental library. We lay foremost emphasis on holistic student development by sharpening professional skills through a vibrant mix of curricular, co-curricular, and extracurricular activities, including sports, workshops, and seminars. The MBA program offers specialisations in Marketing, Finance, and Human Resources, utilising a pedagogy that blends theoretical knowledge with practical tools like case studies, industrial visits, and a mandatory 45-day internship. Guided by highly qualified faculty with deep domain expertise, our students are prepared to meet the changing dynamics of the global business world. With eleven successful batches already graduated, our alumni now serve as influential business leaders and successful entrepreneurs across the globe.
